Hi and thanks for checkin’ in!
My name is Tobias M. Zielke but everyone calls me Toby. Though I was born in 1973 it’s absolutely ok to call me so. I started diving in October 2008 and made some progress since. In 2017 my main interest changed to Rebreather Diving, also called Closed Circuit Rebreather or CCR diving and I’m IANTD-trained.
In 2018 I was “infected” by overhead diving, in the same way diving in caves and also flooded mines. I love to explore old flooded slate mines in the Sauerland area and also in natural caves mostly in Souther France, the Lot area.
My profession is always high scale business and therefore I like the focus on only one thing while diving. Of course it can be exhausting but I get so many positive back that diving became a very important part in my life.
I live in a nice area near Cologne (~20 Kilometers) with my beautiful wife Esther and our 4 cats (yeah, I’m an old cat dad).
I started this blog to share my travels and my passion for diving, especially technical diving and hope you like to join me on my journey around the globe.
If you have any questions related to my travels or technical diving, please feel free to contact me here!
Stay safe and Cheers
Toby
